About C.D. Jouzdani

Like many kids, C.D. Jouzdani didn’t enjoy the idea of growing up, so they simply refused to do so…or at least they tried. From drawing comic strips on the bus in grade school to pursuing degrees in English and Film, much of their work is rooted in character, and attempts to examine the quiet moments that connect us. Those rooted in happiness, humility, frustration, longing, and all of the humor that sits in between.

Jouzdani’s approach is simple, but detailed, with an emphasis on both color and texture. Their artwork continues to be inspired by the comics they idolized as a kid, such as Bill Watterson’s Calvin and Hobbes, Charles Schulz’s Peanuts, and Jeff Smith’s Bone series, combined with stylistic influences from a childhood filled with Nickelodeon, Nintendo, and nature.

C.D. currently resides outside of Denver, Colorado with their beautiful wife and two sassy dogs.
